The introduction to the present volume was the reissue of the opening section (BUR, 1995, pp. 37-50) of a meditation held by Father Giussani during the spiritual exercises of the CLU conducted at Rimini from 9 to 11 December 1994. The complete text was published in the miscellaneous volume Il tempo e il tempio. Dio e l’uomo (BUR, 1995, pp. 37-74; translations) with the title “Riconoscere Cristo”.
