The volume contains the meditations of Luigi Giussani on the Stations of the Cross, each preceded by an excerpt from the Gospel and followed by prayers from the liturgy.
The author’s comments on the various Stations were first published in March 1997 in “Litterae Communionis-Tracce” (3, 1997, insert) with the title Egli solo è.
In 2005 Father Giussani’s texts were republished in the booklet Egli solo è. Via Crucis (San Paolo, 2005) together with passages from the Gospels and prayers from the liturgy for Good Friday which differ from those in the edition in question.
